French-Algerian singer Sabrina Bellaouel is one of the most promising emerging artists of our times. Moving in a world of her own, she fosters, through her unique, experimental approach to production, an atmosphere that’s both intimate and universal in her music. Straddling the line between neo-soul and R&B, with a jazzy electronic backdrop, her debut album Al Hadr – “present time” in Arabic – is a snapshot self-portrait in which she questions faith and love, addresses what corrupts relationships and speaks out against harmful excessive virility. Driven by her warm and smooth voice, this search of identity in French, English and Arabic finds a natural resonance in our society in need of reference points. To open the night, Swiss artist Sandor will deliver her synthetic and energetic pop, revisiting and modernising the sound of the 80s with careful arrangements. With her deep, calm voice, she plays haunting, heady melodies that highlight her elegant, poetic and deliciously nostalgic music.

Unfortunately, SANDOR will not be able to perform at the Festival on Saturday 2 September due to an accident that will prevent him from taking part in the concert. We wish him a speedy recovery! The evening at Le Groove will continue with a concert by the incredible Sabrina Bellaouel. We look forward to seeing many of you there!
