La Bâtie belongs to the Pool de Théâtres Romands, which includes nearly forty professional theatres in French-speaking Switzerland and neighbouring France whose main activity is to host and/or co-produce shows.

When it was created in 1986, a group of programmers exchanged information on shows seen in Switzerland and abroad with a view to purchasing and distributing them together. Gradually, the Pool de Théâtres Romands developed links with other networks such as the Groupe des 20 de Rhône-Alpes or Quint’est. It has also developed cultural policy strategies and actions in Switzerland and the French-speaking world and is notably at the origin of the reflection that led to the creation of CORODIS.

The Pool’s members include venues that are very diverse in terms of programming, infrastructure, size, networks and financial resources.
