La Bibliothèque sonore des femmes
Installation littéraire téléphonique
Performance / installation
Have you read Olympe de Gouges? Do you know Catherine Colomb? Does Audre Lorde ring a bell?
Bibliothèque Sonore des Femmes is a literary installation designed to help you discover or rediscover unknown or forgotten women writers through monologues invented by contemporary authors and delivered over the telephone. Like a call from beyond…
As if these women writers were calling us back from their invisible world to make us want to read them, to spread their texts and their ideas.
Texts written by Gaëlle Bien-Aimé, Valérie Cachard, Jihane Chouaib, Odile Cornuz, Anaïs de Courson, Céline Delbecq, Solenn Denis, Penda Diouf, Latifa Djerbi, Cynthia Edul, Marie Fourquet, Barbara Geib, Julie Gilbert, Douna Loup, Karelle Ménine, Florence Minder, Sarah Jane Moloney, Marie-Louise Mumbu (Bibish), Emmelyne Octavie, Nadège Prugnard, Antoinette Rychner, Marina Skalova, Dorothée Thébert, Salimata Togora, Isabelle Wéry, Hermine Yollo, Patricia Zangaro, Alice Zeniter, Mara Züst.
Duration of each “call”: 6 to 8 minutes
Bibliothèque Sonore des Femmes will be open to the public free of charge during opening hours.
The Fahrenheit 451 bookshop will be on hand with books by the women writers featured in Bibliothèque Sonore des Femmes.
The program of workshops and meetings of Toute la maison écrivait en moi can be found on this page.
