Yuval Pick’s work has always been fuelled by the desire to create something common and to build new possibilities out of our otherness. For this new project, the director of the National Dance Centre (CCN) in Rillieux-la-Pape has brought together ten dancers of different ages and origins, each reflecting a specific world, a unique history and multiple folklores. With them, the choreographer invents new myths, updates archaic rituals, and mixes songs and movements. Silver Rosa presents a continuum of phantasmagorical images, a promise of a waking dream, where meaning sometimes springs from a spark caused by the shock of our different worlds coming together.
