La Colonie de Vacances is the slightly crazy idea of four French noise bands (Electric Electric, Marvin, Papier Tigre & Pneu) who joined forces after a joint tour in 2010. Their concept? A breathtaking sound experience in total immersion, using a unique quadraphonic sound system set-up that places the audience at the centre of four stages. Big powerful riffs and mesmerising rock soundscapes, scattered with electronic bleeps and bloops and soaring crescendos, then lead to a collective trance. This epic and ambitious project showcases musicians that all seem to fit perfectly, performing with obvious pleasure. Over the years, they’ve convinced the most demanding and curious crowds before releasing Echt in 2022, an LP steeped in the noise of diabolical and disturbing machines that’ll grab you by the throat.
