For the last four years, Flamenco Queer has been reviving the links between music, dance and intersectionality through shows with a unique aesthetic. On stage, Jero Férec and Rubén Heras surround themselves with performers to offer a show that combines dance with song and drag. Through it, they transcend their art, giving visibility to the queer presence and contribution in flamenco and constantly questioning gender binarism, social issues and relationships between people. Fantasia is their latest creation, designed for the reopening of the emblematic El Molino cabaret in the historic Poble district. In direct line with the revival of variety shows, Fantasia breaks free from the traditional stage format to connect artists and audience in a single quest for identity, with a gorgeous tribute to flamenco.
Before and after the performance, Dem Gyalzzz will be bringing plenty of heat, sailing between perreo, dutty wine and those forces that’ll have you shaking and grooving. Formed by Lola Chola, Nina Yela & La Beba, the crew of Geneva-based DJs crosses genres and bypasses borders. Good vibes guaranteed!
