Through her work, Brooklyn-based composer and artist Marina Rosenfeld explores acoustic architectures and experimental forms of engagement and sociality in sound installations and performances. By focusing on staging sound according to a location or to participants, she fosters reflection on the perception of sound according to a spatial context. Her work has been featured all over the world in numerous artistic institutions and festivals. For this live performance, she’ll be accompanied by artists from Contrechamps, a major ensemble committed to promoting the contemporary and experimental scene. To host them, we couldn’t have wished for a better venue than Les 6 Toits, a venue where artists and audiences can come together in a spirit of sharing and discovery. A circle of instrumentalists, vinyl turntables and loudspeakers lie in the centre of the auditorium for visitors to wander through, allowing them to immerse themselves in the performance or to savour the acoustic dialogue from a distance, comfortably seated in a deckchair. A concert to enjoy in complete freedom.
